How is One Life different from a regular gym?
Everything we do is coached. Most gyms sell you access and leave you to figure it out. Some give you a few classes — great if that's what you're looking for.
But too many people turn up, wander around, and stop seeing progress. That's when they quit.
We sell service. You won't be walking around wondering what to do. We won't let you go two weeks in a row without moving forward. Unsure about food? We handle it. Not sure how to get stronger? We'll help you. Training around an injury? We'll be with you the whole way.
Do you offer a free trial?
We don't do free trials — because what we deliver isn't free to deliver.
Instead we offer Foundations Week. A fully coached, one-week experience for just $49. You'll train with the team, meet the community, and get a real feel for what One Life is about — with full support from day one.
By the end of the week you'll know exactly whether this is your place. No guesswork, no pressure to commit.
I'm new to the gym. Will your options be suitable for me?
Yes. All of our training options are built for all levels, including complete beginners.
We don't just train you. We teach you. Our coaches guide you through every session, help you build confidence with movement, and give you structure that actually works.
You won't get lost in the crowd, and you won't be expected to know what you're doing on day one. That's our job.
What if I have an injury or existing condition?
We'll work with it, not around it. Our coaches are trained to modify movements, adjust loading, and build strength safely around whatever's going on.
You won't be left to figure it out alone, and you definitely won't be pushed past what's appropriate. Your Strategy Session in Foundations Week is where we dig into your history and plan from there.
How long until I see results?
Honest answer — it depends on you. But here's what we tell members to expect:
- 2 weeks — you'll feel a difference (energy, mood, sleep, strength)
- 6 weeks — others will notice your body changing
- 12 weeks — you'll really see it yourself
Consistency and nutrition are the two biggest levers. We coach both.
How do I book a class or get started?
Start with Foundations Week. It's designed specifically for people who are new — it eases you in, shows you how everything works, and makes sure you feel confident before your first class.
Once you're a member, all sessions are booked through the GymMaster app — simple, quick, and you can see the full timetable in advance.
Can I bring my kids while I train?
Yes. We have an unsupervised kids' room so you can train while they hang out nearby.
The space includes a couch, bean bags, colouring books, toys and a TV to keep them entertained. You'll also have access to a live camera feed so you can check in on them during your session.
Plenty of parents train with us. We've set things up to make it easier for you to show up.
How many people are in a session?
We cap every session at a maximum of 8 people.
Quality coaching requires attention, and it's incredibly difficult to deliver a five-star service in a packed class. Rather than fill every space, we keep our numbers low so we don't cap your results.
Can I train while pregnant or postpartum?
Absolutely. Our coaches are qualified to support you during pregnancy and postpartum, with appropriate modifications and guidance every step of the way.
We also run Bubs and Barbells — a dedicated session for mums and dads with newborns and crawlers. Monday, Wednesday and Friday at 10:30am.
Can I cancel or pause my membership?
Yes to both. Nothing locks you in long-term.
Cancel: We have a 2-week notice period. Give us a heads-up and you're out.
Pause: There's a pause fee on all memberships. Here's why — we cap numbers to protect coaching quality, which means we can't sell unlimited memberships. When you pause, you're holding your spot. The fee keeps your place ready for when you return.
